In the pursuit of historic truth and a desire for deeper understanding, the Seattle Metals Guild and the Symposium Planning Committee acknowledge that the work of the Seattle area creative community takes place on the traditional lands of the Northwest Indigenous Peoples. We have been using this land for generations as uninvited guests of the Coastal Salish, Suquamish and Duwamish people. It is with respect for these people, that we honor their history and this truth.
