Con-Creation: Concrete Jewelry

Concrete, the next best thing to sliced bread, might be the inspiration you’ve been looking for! Explore the possibilities and processes of bringing concrete, an incredible alternative material, into your jewelry or small object making. Use it in place of stones or create colorful, unique, stand-alone work with very little cost. In this workshop, students will gain the skills and knowledge to mix, color and form the concrete for use in various types of molds. Students will both explore mold-making techniques and use basic 3-D printed materials provided by the instructor to create unique pieces. Design and fabrication tips for creating ideal forms for jewelry will be explored during the final day of class. Discover a whole new world of possibility with visiting instructor Michael Nashef, who will not only provide you with valuable informative but a ton of fun! All Levels.
